When I was in college for film and media, I took a Python coding class. The very first command we learned to give to the computer was for it to display the words "Hello world".
This is a tradition for the first program anyone writes in a new language or on a new computer because it is typically one of the simplest programs possible in most programming languages. It is by tradition often used to illustrate to beginners the most basic syntax of a programming language (Langbridge, 2013). This is where everyone starts. I thought it fitting to title this blog "Hello, World" because this is where I begin.
This blog is going to be about my musing of life and how I make sense of the world around me. You could call it a lifestyle blog. Here you will see the style of my life and all the amazing things in it. Maybe someday this will go in a more distinct direction but for now, it is merely a stream of consciousness.
I will have some backdated blog posts because I want the dates to reflect the creation of the writing. I have been writing for years.
So if you are still reading, you are a trooper. Thank you. I hope to at least make you laugh or think deeper about something in your own life.
